Actor Lee Min-ho was selected as a “star of Korean tourism” this year by the culture ministry on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
The government said a video clip featuring Lee to promote Korea’s tourism hit 37 million views on YouTube since it was released five months ago.
The ministry‘s official said, “Amid the sluggish tourism industry due to the outbreak of MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome), the promotional video featuring Lee was a great help in recovering the Korean tourism industry.”
Lee is currently serving as an ambassador of “Visit Korea 2016” alongside AOA’s Seolhyun.
