Actor Yoon Shi-yoon, who is set to complete his mandatory military service, is reportedly mulling whether to renew the contract with his agency.
The 29-year-old actor, who built a strong local fan base with his looks and acting abilities, is expected to leave Marine Corps on Jan. 27, which he joined in April 2014.
“Although his deal with the agency will soon expire, he hasn’t yet shown his willingness to renew the contract (with his agency),” Korean media Ilgan Sports cited a source familiar with the matter as saying on Friday.
The news report also added, “If he doesn’t renew the deal, he is expected to work alone instead of working for another company.”
Yoon, who rose to stardom after appearing in hit sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof” in 2009, starred in several dramas and films including “Prime Minister and I” and “Mr. Perfect.”
