Actor Park Bo-gum, who shot to stardom through drama “Reply 1988,” shared his thoughts on wrapping up one of the most talked about dramas recently.
“‘Reply 1988’ work was like another family to me,” said Park through his agency Blossom Entertainment on Sunday. “I still can’t believe all the filming is over and I will miss my Ssangmun-dong family.”

Park talked about his much-loved character in the drama, Choi Taek, a star Go player who develops feelings for his childhood friend Deok-sun, played by Lee Hye-ri. “Thank you so much for giving me lots of love,” he said. “Taek is kind and soft from the outside, but strong and adult-like inside, like an iron hand in a velvet love. I think many people loved Taek’s mature yet genuine personality,” he said and thanked the cast members, director, writer, all the staff members and those who cheered for Taek.
“Reply 1988,” which had its grand finale on Saturday, centers on family and everyday life against the backdrop of a small Seoul neighborhood Ssangmun-dong in 1988.
In the last episode, Park married his childhood crush Lee.
