Music video of Zico’s ‘It Was Love’ unveiled

The music video for Zico’s new song “It Was Love” was released Monday at noon.

The video, a teaser for which was previously released on Jan. 18, features Mariko Shinoda, formerly a member of Japanese girl band AKB48. Shinoda, 29, portrays a woman who recollects moments with her ex-boyfriend and feels devastated after a hard breakup.

The second track of 23-year-old Zico’s mini album “Break Up 2 Make Up,” released Sunday at midnight and features girl band f(X)’s Luna, winner of MBC singing competition program “King of Mask Singer.” Zico wrote the lyrics and composed the song.

With the album’s first track, “I Am You, You Are Me,” leading in major local charts, “It Was Love” is closing in on the top spot. Zico, known as a hip-hop artist and leader of hip-hop idol band Block-B, has proved his talent of late in producing ballad songs.
