Infinite’s Hoya to debut on silver screen

Boy band Infinite’s Hoya is poised to debut as a movie actor in “Hiya,” which will be released in March, Hoya’s management agency Woollim Entertainment said in a press release on Thursday, Jan. 28.

The 24-year old rapper Hoya, or actor Lee Ho-won, and rookie actor Ahn Bo-hyun costar in the movie, which focuses on the brotherly relationship between their characters.

Lee appears as Jin-ho a younger brother who aspires to be K-pop star, while Ahn plays his elder brother, Jin-sang. He cherishes Jin-ho, but Jin-ho loathes hanging around with him.

With Jin-sang striving to pave his brother’s way for success, Jin-ho unwittingly closes in on becoming K-pop star.

Veteran actor Park Cheol-min is also cast in the flick.

Lee, who was cast in the role in October 2014, started his career as an actor in the TV drama “Reply 1997” the first of the “Reply” series.
