Actor Lee Jong-suk on Monday donated 2 million won ($1,700) to UNICEF in Korea to support underprivileged children.
According to UNICEF, Lee decided to make donation to help children who are going through a hard time during the winter.
“I thought about how I would possibly repay all the love I received from the fans,” Lee said. “I thought that, with UNICEF, I could share the love with more people. I will try to be an actor who doesn’t forget to be together with people who are suffering under hard circumstances.”
Among the donation, UNICEF Korea is planning to use 1 million won to help overseas Korean and children of migrant workers who need assistance.
